Road Bike / Road racing bike
I feel a little out of my depth here, as classic racing bikes are something which I have very little knowledge of, so please excuse my vague description. I picked this gem up at a local auction a few months ago with the intentions of giving it to my brother to restore, but he's since up'd sticks and left, so I now need to find a home for it with someone who restores such bikes.
I have ridden the bike up and down my lane, and it actually rides really well, the gears changed smoothly, the back brake is keen, but the front one is seized up, so no major mechanical issues to deal with, it's all cosmetic, so a total strip-down and re-build is the order of the day in this instance.
Apart from the fact it's a scruffy bike with lots of rust patches, the only other minor thing I should mention is that one of the front wheel nuts is missing, but I guess the least of the buyers worries.
My asking price is realistic, but I'm happy to negotiate a little further.
